Watch NatureScapes in VR
Find our 180° and 360° videos in a supported YouTube VR experience and understand what to expect before putting on a headset.
NatureScapes editorial
NatureScapes VR presents filmed places. A 360° video lets you look around the recorded viewpoint; a 180° video presents the forward half of the view. This is different from a game where you can walk freely through a constructed world.
Check the viewing app
YouTube provides a VR app for selected headsets. Its current getting-started guide lists supported devices and setup instructions; check it before choosing a headset or assuming a particular resolution will be available.
Open the supported YouTube VR experience, find the NatureScapes video by its exact title and select immersive viewing where available. An ordinary flat player may show the scene as a panel rather than presenting the full VR format.
Match the title and format
Our VR listings identify 180° or 360° and, where applicable, 3D. The format and playback quality depend on the video, viewing app, device and connection. An “8K” source label does not guarantee that every headset will stream it at 8K.
On a phone, open the video in YouTube’s app rather than relying on an embedded mobile-browser player. Google’s Cardboard viewing mode is not supported on iPhone or iPad.
Start with a short look
Settle into a comfortable position and follow your headset maker’s space and comfort guidance. Begin with a short viewing period and stop if it feels uncomfortable. You can also enjoy the wider NatureScapes collection on a normal screen without a headset.
