REAL PLACES · REAL SOUND
Captured outside, not generated in a studio.
Every Naturescapes escape begins in a real landscape. We combine our own filming and field recordings with footage, audio and images from other passionate nature recordists, helping us share places from around the world.
OUT IN THE FIELD
The place comes first.
A few moments behind the camera: setting up beside a river, listening to the coast and giving a landscape time to unfold. These photographs and the field clip show the real work behind NatureScapes.
A slower way to make digital nature.
The process is built around authenticity rather than spectacle.
Find the right place
We look for environments with their own natural rhythm—moving water, changing light, wind through leaves and the small details that make somewhere feel alive.
Record the atmosphere
Long-form field recordings preserve the texture of the location, from close water detail to distant birdsong and the wider acoustic space.
Edit for presence
Footage and sound are refined for clarity and seamless playback without turning a real landscape into something exaggerated or synthetic.
AUTHENTIC BY DESIGN
The goal is not to imitate nature. It is to bring you closer to it.
That means fewer distractions, restrained editing and enough time for a scene to settle. The result should feel like opening a window, not watching a trailer.
